The rooms at Cederkloof Botanical Retreat were absolutely charming! We stayed in the Opstal lounge and loved the cozy atmosphere. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the private bathroom with a hot tub was a bonus. It truly felt like a home away from home!
The only downside was the lack of cellphone signal and Wi-Fi. But hey, sometimes it's nice to disconnect and enjoy nature without distractions.

I recently stayed at Cederkloof, a truly special retreat. The peacefulness of the surroundings, the stunning starry nights, and the beautiful trails made it a perfect getaway. I loved how the owners have restored the indigenous vegetation, not only enhancing biodiversity but also adding privacy to the cottages. The lack of WiFi in the cottages allowed us to fully disconnect, while still having the convenience of checking our emails on the patio by the pool. a unique and wonderful experience that I would definitely return for.
Totally recommend this hotel.

We loved the peaceful surroundings, with no sound except for birds and the beautiful starry sky at night. the trails were a great addition for walking and exploring. the indigenous vegetation restoration added to the privacy and biodiversity, and the lack of Wi-Fi in the cottages allowed us to truly disconnect. the attention to detail, like the abundance of hooks and the availability of towels and blankets, was impressive. the comfortable beds and friendly staff were a bonus. a memorable experience.
Felt very well, no complaints at all.

Our stay at Cederkloof Botanical Retreat was a much-needed break from the city. The location was beautiful and quiet, providing the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. We thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi and the well-stocked house that made our self-catering weekend getaway hassle-free. The staff was welcoming and friendly, adding to the positive experience. we had a great time and would definitely recommend this retreat.
While we had a wonderful stay, there were a few minor drawbacks. The construction work happening near our unit was a bit disruptive, and we wish there had been some kind of shield to offer more privacy.

The chalet we stayed in was clean and neat, with a rustic look and an open beam rooftop. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities, including dishwashing soap. The bathroom was great, and the shower was amazing! One of the best aspects was the private jacuzzi on the patio, which offered stunning views of the surrounding mountains and nature.
The lack of privacy in the chalets, as they were closer together than expected. the jacuzzi did not heat up despite our attempts to contact the resort for assistance.

The views were breathtaking, especially from the outdoor ceremony spaces. The private jacuzzi was a luxurious touch. Plus, waking up to the sound of birds and rustling trees made me feel like Snow White.
No Prince Charming to keep away the staff while I was enjoying the jacuzzi.

My partner and I recently stayed at a stunning retreat nestled in a beautiful protea garden. The location was perfect, and we were treated to breathtaking views from the jacuzzi. The staff were incredibly kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Despite some maintenance work, the noise was minimal and didn't disrupt our stay. Waking up to the peaceful sounds of birds tweeting was a lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this dog-friendly retreat, exploring the hiking trails with our furry companions. The privacy and tranquility made it a truly relaxing getaway. Leaving the keys in the door upon arrival and departure meant we could enjoy our stay without constant interaction. The fire pit and stunning views were the icing on the cake.
I do recommend this hotel.

We went on a 20-minute stroll uphill, enjoying breathtaking views of the valley and changing vegetation types. The descent along the length of the cottages provided even more stunning scenery. It was a great opportunity for us to bond as a family while immersing ourselves in nature.
For families with children, I suggest adding a playground or outdoor activities specifically designed for kids.

Loved the breathtaking views, especially the snow-covered mountains in winter. The star-gazing on the lawn with a bean bag was divine. And who doesn't enjoy a private jacuzzi with all the amenities?
I just adored the lack of communication and the delightful surprise of a construction site. So thoughtful.
